I'm not really a writer. Well, yes I am. But not really. I'm really a musician. That is my passion. I will always love music. I play the bassoon, the ukulele, flute, clarinet, and I also sing. I'm really proud of my musical abilities, because I know that it takes a lot of work for some people to be really good, and (not to brag) but I'm pretty good at what I do and it doesn't take me very long to get to where I am. Music is just easy for me. It's a part of me. It's who I am. For some people, writing is what defines them. That's why I say I'm not a writer. I love writing, but it doesn't define me like music does. Not even close. I live on music. If I'm not playing the bassoon or the flute, I'm playing the ukulele and/or singing.

People can get their points across in a lot of different ways. Me, I choose music. Even though music is my first choice, writing is a close second. For instance, I'm in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend, who lives near Detroit (notice I said NEAR). Since we're both so busy we don't really have time to Skype (and I'm kinda shy about singing in front of other people), so I write him letters from time to time. And those letters aren't just something I'll write a few sentences, add "Love, Hope" at the bottom and put it in the mail. Nope. See, if I was just gonna ask, "How've you been? What've you been doing lately?" I'd just text him. If I'm going to send a letter, it's going to be damn well near perfect and full of meaning, for me and for him. I wrote him a letter for his birthday, and it was really long and I cried writing it, because I missed him and all of camp, which is where we met, (which is my home, but that's another story). And I'm a hugely emotional person in general...) So he got it about a week later, a few days before his birthday, and he read it and he cried.

Writing is powerful. Just as powerful as music. They are the most powerful things you will ever experience. If you see music, it's just notes on a page. Writing may just be a bunch of words put together, but in the right order, they can be amazing.

That's all I'm really trying to get across.

You find your thing that you love and are good at, and you stick with it.
So I felt like I needed to write something, and I ended up going on a rant...but it's not exactly a rant. Anyways, music is my thing, writing is just something I do for fun.

Same here. :) I do writing and drawing for fun but I haven't really found my passion yet, you know? Gotta keep trying.
