"Ooooooo! Was that the chick from this morning?"

"Yup." He keeps smiling and walks away.

Nick, stunned, calls out, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait!"

~

Before Caitlin knew it, it was rec.

"What's with these stupid uniforms?" she muttered to herself.

While she's walking towards her cabin, her friend bumps into her.

Caitlin says without looking "Hey! Watch where you're... oh! Hi Katie! Sorry! Didn't see you there."

Katie replies "Oh, its fine. Where you going?"

"Ha-ha. Cabin to find something to wear for you know who," Caitlin says with a smirk.

"Oo la-la! Have fun." Katie laughs and walks away.

"You think I won't?!" Caitlin called after her, to which Katie kept walking, but waved.

"Great," she muttered. "I know this is the guy. But why the hell is he in Chicago at my graduation when he lives in Battle Creek?" This was getting far too complicated in so little time. This was the time when she really needed her phone. She needed to text Audrey. Caitlin sighed. She had left her phone at home, and her parents said that they would bring it with them when they came to pick her up. And besides, even if she did have her phone, it wasn't like there was any reception in the lonely, desolate place anyway.

Caitlin heard the UC's calling everyone. She ran out the door, just realizing that she hadn't changed a thing about her appearance. Darn.

She felt a tap on her shoulder, and wheeled around. "Oh. It's you."

"I don't know who else you thought it would be." Brett leaned on the tree next to him.

Caitlin thought about it for a moment. "True."

"So what do you want to do?" It was obvious that he wanted her to choose, while she didn't really care what they did.

"I don't care. Pick something."

Brett smiled. "Follow me," and grabbed her hand, leading her down a small path, then down another, until they got to the waterfront, where tons of people were.

"I love the water."

"You do, do you?"

Caitlin jerked her head around, not realizing she had been heard. "Yeah, I do."

The two of them spent the next hour just talking about anything and everything.

She learned that he hated golf, his middle name was Ryan, and that he had a pet iguana.

Brett learned that her two best friends teased her about her freckles more than anyone else—though she didn't mind it, she loved manicotti cooked especially by her mother, and that she'd never dated anyone before.

Before they knew it, it was time for rehearsal again.

Brett got up, dusted himself off, offered his hand to her and helped her up.

"Careful, I don't want you to faint again." He smiled.

Blushing, she replied, "I don't think that's going to happen again."

"You never know…"
I know I haven't touched this piece for like a YEAR, but I was rereading some of my older stuff and I thought I'd go back to it. I found that I had most of this chapter already done, so I added a bit more, and TA-DAAA! Chapter 5 is finished!

So I hope you all don't hate me for waiting so long before doing the next chapter....
